The Tommy handle is highly regarded in terms of tolerance to transport and handling, resistance to shock and degradation, and for its longer life than other handles on the store shelf. Its high tolerance to diseases allows less chemicals to be used in Tommy's cultivation.
The fruit is oval, with a smooth skin, a little waxed, and a weight of between 450-700 gr. It is orange in color with large parts of a dark red or crimson. The pulp is a bit fibrous, which gives it a firm texture. The pulp is lemon or dark yellow in color and has a sweet, mild flavor.
