SURGICAL SUTURE SILK
Multi-filament braided material, of a protein nature, obtained from the fibers of the silkworm cocoon that have been suitably treated for the purpose of purifying them and degumming them. High fl exibility which gives it manageability and ease of knotting far superior to any suture material. Likewise, its high tensile strength makes silk the most commonly used suture material in all types of interventions.
