Our history

Our creative audiovisual journey at Mamá Sur merges fiction, documentary, transmedia, mapping, video installation and experimental cinema, as we see film as an art form without established formats. Among all these forms and formats we have always tried to articulate academia, criticism and teaching, which make us constantly question the cinematographer and help us explore the elements that compose it. We are sensitive to the territory that surrounds us, the people who inhabit it and that is why inside, deep inside, there we will go to film, where the sea embraces the jungle and the jungle freezes with the cold of the Andes.

We started in 2011 as a collective of artists and in 2018 we registered as a production company offering the services of Audiovisual Creation, Cultural Education, Photography, Design, Transmedia Narratives, Film Production and Post Production.
