Reference Muisca
Made with Recycled Pet. Inspired by the legend of El Dorado that focuses on the Guatavita lagoon, near Bogotá, which was one of the sacred lagoons of the Muiscas. Its chief or cacique, whom the Spanish called El Dorado, apparently covered himself in gold and plunged into the water in a ritual and his devotees threw gold and precious stones at him. This print represents those gold figurines that were used in the ritual.
