Our history
Manakao is a company dedicated to the production of cocoa located in Puerto López, Meta, a place where the quality of the soil represents a challenge for planting any crop. Therefore, Manakao was born under the circular economy model as an agroforestry system that takes advantage of organic fertilizers from the other productive processes of the property: regenerative livestock and pig farming. To date, 91.25ha of the CCN51, FSV41 and FEAR5 varieties have been planted, with the aim of producing, marketing and exporting fine flavored cocoa beans, using our own specific post-harvest methods. Currently, the lots have a production capacity of 161 tons of cocoa beans, but the goal is that in 2028 768 tons will be produced when all the projected hectares are planted. The company has 7 workers in the field and is starting the first harvests, the marketing and export process.
